With gravity shifting your line of fire all the time in Angry Birds Space, each shot much feels unique. Rather than shooting straight at the pigs, you often have to swing birds around tiny planets, take advantage of orbital pull, and set off chain reactions from surprising angles.

Zero-G Trajectories

Straight Lines: Birds travel in perfectly straight lines when far from gravity fields.
Orbital Bending: Once you get into a planet’s orbit, your flight path is immediately bent into a curve.
Oxygen Bubbles: Space Pigs: are they. hiding within oxygen bubbles and flying around.
Freeze Effect: Get the pigs out to outer space by bursting the bubbles, and then a freeze elimination will finish them off.

The core mechanic is based very much on planetary gravity fields (which are depicted on your screen with a series of faint blue rings), which are illustrated in the gravity model of the game.

These fields attract objects that pass near them to the surface of the planet. You can use this gravity well to curve shots around small planets and hit protected targets from behind, or you can send out multi-stage, indirect attacks. Using orbital physics enables logical chain reactions without the necessity of direct force.

Basic Controls

Aim: Drag the slingshot backward to set up the target and speed of the bird.
Predict: Look at the dotted projected path before letting go of the mouse or touching the phone.
Activate: Activate each bird’s ability while it is still in the air.

Tips to Playing Space

Ignore Shields: Increase your effectiveness by making curved trajectories that allow you to get past shields and planet surfaces.
Precision Timing: Only activate the ability of the birds when they align with their targets.
Strike Weak Spots: Target the TNT boxes and weak support blocks to make big structures fall down.
Three-Star Objective: To get three stars, minimize your shots in each level.

Meet the Cosmic Flock

The classic flock returns in Angry Birds Space with all-new space physics and an expanded lineup of extraterrestrial allies.

The Ice Bird: This icy friend makes the target structures freeze solid on collision, turning the wood and stone into delicate ice blocks which can be shattered quite easily with follow-up attacks.
The Lazer Bird: Instead of the classic yellow bird, the Lazer Bird allows you to choose a target while you are in the air.

Once activated, it rockets in a straight line towards a high-speed, high-precision strike against the pigs in ballooned.
